This Zip file contains two additional zip files.

-- DVT Grids contains scaled grids.
-- DVT Grids files are named for their pitch and calibrated scale.

-- Custom Grids contains generic arrays of dots.
-- Custom Grids are named for their Field of View (FOV) Dimensions.

Each contains several grids for Standard and Metric calibrations.

There are two file formats for the grids, DXF and PDF. A CAD program can be used to view/print/manufacture the *.DXF grids. Also, several DXF viewers are avalable on the internet. Most software packages offer a limited trial version that can be used to view and print the grids.

The *.PDF grids can be viewed and printed from an Adobe Acrobat viewer. When printing from Adobe,Be sure to set Page Scaling to NONE, and Check AUTO-ROTATE AND CENTER. Because the page size is very large to accomodate the largest grids, the above settings are necessary.

Several of the grids are larger than a standard sheet of paper so be sure you have the appropriate medium that you wish to print on.

When using a DVT Grid, the calibrated scale is only as good as the method used to create the grid. If the grid is Laser etched onto a piece of glass you could expect better and more repeatable results than the same grid painted onto a piece of wood. That is an extreme comparison but something to think about.
